Friday Books Then She Was Gone

It's Friday already. Time to stop and read. At last.

BookBeginnings, hosted by Rose City Readerand The Friday 56 - hosted by Freda’s Voice both host sites for Friday link ups, where we discover more books, and make friends. Both involve sharing excerpts from a current book - the beginning and - you guessed it - page 56.

I have to confess, I've finished this one already. (Click the cover for the Goodreads blurb)

So much about this opening is real. I have a daughter in year eleven (grade 11 here). I can picture the bug-eyed babies in oversized blazers. Adorable, even if not good-looking.

Lovely stuff, but that's what you get when you pick up a new Lisa Jewell. Good writing, clever plot, wonderful characters. This is my kind of book. Here's my review.

  4. I love this author, and I just ordered this one earlier today, from a 3rd party seller, as it was not available yet on Amazon (not here, anyway).

Can't wait to get it. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
