When you've had a great weekend - lots of socialising, eating, drinking and no exercising whatsoever, it's that much more difficult to get the motivation to run. And it's Monday.
So spare me a thought as you pull on your well-used trainers, and step out into the morning that welcomed you as recently as yesterday. I'm feeling flat. And the most accessible thought in my mind is - "tomorrow's another day". But I will do something today. I must.
First thing to do is to change the soundtrack in my head. I think we need some cheerleading this morning. And the song has to have a beat. And be happy.
There's only one song that is working for me, I have to say. And I'm choosing the Pentatonic version. It's so good, and all those harmonies. They give me goosebumps.
Here you go - here's your Monday Motivation.
The zone on, yes, I'm in the zone
Starships were meant to fly
Hands up, and touch the sky
Can't stop, 'cause we're so high
Let's do this one more time
Starships were meant to fly
Hands up, and touch the sky
Let's do this one last time
Can't stop.

Instead of just "running as usual" today, we're going to take this opportunity to touch the sky, one last time, and do this. Let's get dressed. We're meant to fly. We're going to do this. What do you mean, five more minutes?
Last week's motivation - I got stamina .
I'm also a fan of Pentatonix. Nice choice there.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good week.
